New jobs in the area

Since September 2008 there have been hundreds of new job announcements in the area.

Five new jobs are to be created Motormend on Trostre Road, Llanelli.

The company, which provides servicing and repairs, will now also deal with car gearbox rebuilds.

Fast-food giant Subway announced it is to create up to 15 jobs with the planned opening of its new shop in Wind Street, Ammanford

Dunelm Mill announced 90 jobs are to be created at its new store on Pemberton Retail Park, due to open in May. Recruitment has begun.

Argos Extra opens at Morfa Retail Park, employing 34 staff.
